The quartet honours the memory of galician violinist Manuel Quiroga, one of the most outstanding instrumentalist of spanish music history.

Frequent stage partners include Martha Argerich, Veronika Hagen, Valentin Erben, Javier Perianes, Jörg Widmann and Jonathan Brown.
Their CD-albums »(R)evolutions« and »Statements« have been acclaimed by the trade press and the international audience. In 2015 they released »Frei Aber Einsam«, dedicated to Brahms (Cobra) and the piano quintets of Granados and Turina (Harmonia Mundi) in collaboration with pianist Javier Perianes. The latest albums are »TERRA«, dedicated to works of Bartók, Ginastera & Halffter, and »HERITAGE« with music of the Spanish Court in the XVIII Century.
