Wed, April 26, 2017 7:30PM
Kongresshaus Stadthalle Heidelberg
Benjamin Beilman, violin
Andrew Tyson, piano
Nemanja Radulović unfortunately fell ill. We are happy to announce a great replacement for this concert: the American violinist Benjamin Beilman, who can be heard several times in the “Standpunkte” concerts. Beilman regularly performs in the USA with major orchestras such as Los Angeles and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and has already been a soloist in Europe with the London Philharmonic and the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra with conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. He is also known as a chamber musician and has performed at prestigious festivals such as Marlboro and Verbier.
Described by BBC Radio 3 as a “poet at the piano” the American Andrew Tyson, born in 1985, presents himself as a new voice in the world of music. He was awarded several prizes and performed with American and European orchestras: the Symphony Orchestras of Las Vegas, North Carolina, Edmonton, the Orchestre de Chambre de Wallonie, the Orchestre National de Belgique and the Hallé Orchestra. For many years, Tyson has been heard at piano competitions and festivals in North and Central America as well as in numerous European countries.
