Passing on the fire: At the Heidelberger Frühling Liedfestival 2025, different generations of artists came together and combined the past, present and future of song.
The Fischer-Dieskau 100 theme day honored the great singer of the century on the occasion of his 100th birthday. birthday. The Liedakademie under the direction of professor of voice Thomas Hampson gave an insight into the next generation of lieder singing with master classes and the final concert. Up-and-coming talents presented themselves in the debut series, while the free re:start concerts in the districts of Heidelberg, concerts in the Ethnographic Museum and a sing-along choir with VOCES8 invited visitors to discover the city.
The next edition of the Liedfestival will take place from June 13 to 20, 2026. The program will be published on February 6 and advance sales will begin on February 9. The programme will also be presented to the public as part of the Musikfestival on 21 March 2026 in the Konzerthaus Stadthalle Heidelberg.
