Under the motto "Liberated Time", the 2025 edition of the festival invited visitors to take a break from everyday life for three weeks from March 22 to April 13 and experience special moments of deceleration. One focus was on the two composers Franz Schubert and Steve Reich and their works with original time arrangements. A highlight was the only German performance of all five piano concertos by Sergei Prokofiev on three evenings by Igor Levit with the Budapest Festival Orchestra under the direction of Iván Fischer.
The next edition will take place from March 14 to April 19, 2026. The program will be published together with that of the Heidelberger Frühling String Quartet Festival on 24 September 2025 and presented at the program release at Karlstorbahnhof. Tickets can be booked from October 20, 2025, for members of the Freundeskreis from October 6.
