The International Song Centre promotes both, Lied projects and the performers – both with the ultimate aim of providing excellent, new and innovative aesthetic experiences for an audience. Project proposals for interdisciplinary concert programs and formats will be implemented with the expertise of the Heidelberger Frühling. The main focus is on projects dedicated to innovation. Presentation forms will be creatively, newly, openly and interdisciplinarily questioned in order to subsequently create artistic projects that are oriented to the future. The projects will be presented at Music Festival Heidelberger Frühling as well as on the stages of the network partners. The resulting partnerships make the projects visible on national and international platforms.
In addition, young artists, whether singers, Lied pianists or directors, who devote themselves to the Lied, can be supported by the Song Centre, with scholarships that enable them to work together. Education and networking are to be strengthened at the same time, so that the Lied network of tomorrow can be promoted today.
