Anatomy garden

The Anatomy Garden in Heidelberg's Old Town is known for the Bunsen Monument. The monument honours the natural scientist Robert Wilhelm Bunsen (1811-1899) and is accompanied by two granite allegories symbolizing the forces of nature. It has commemorated Bunsen's life and work in Heidelberg since 1908. The garden provides a historical setting for concerts, readings and events in the heart of the old town.
