The Armida Quartet brings true Mozart specialists to the stage. Their impressive complete recording of Mozart’s string quartets, released in 2022, can be experienced not only on CD but also in their own concert series, “Mozart Exploded,” in which they combine Mozart’s works with extraordinary pieces of contemporary music. Thus, alongside two early works and the “First Prussian Quartet,” the programme features Sofia Gubaidulina’s String Quartet No. 1, illustrating how the genre has evolved over the centuries.
