Avital. Sollima. Tondo. Copia

"I am interested in the search for new experiences in the classical concert", Avi Avital once said. For "Sentieri" (Paths), the most famous mandolin virtuoso of our time has teamed up with cellist and composer Giovanni Sollima. The ensemble is complemented by the singer Alessia Tondo, one of the most important voices in Apulia, and the early music specialist Giuseppe Copia on theorbo and guitar. "Sentieri" is a joyful musical journey that playfully transcends stylistic and epochal boundaries and combines folkloristic and classical traditions. "In the end," says Avital, "a labyrinth becomes a single great path that we share and experience together."
This will be followed by an artist talk with Avi Avital in the Ballroom.
