Award Winners' Concert

The night in all its facets builds the atmospheric bridge to the afterlife, accompanied by a terrible premonition of death and unshakeable trust in God: The song program, which revolves around the great existential questions, is dedicated to Bach's sacred arias and Schubert's songs and sets the stage for the beguilingly singing Orpheus and the tormented Everyman. Jonas Müller, a former scholarship holder of the Heidelberger Frühling Liedakademie, won the prestigious Musikpreis der deutschen Wirtschaft 2025 with this program idea. For this metaphysical programme, he has Gerold Huber, one of the most renowned Lied accompanists, at his side.
The concert is part of the Kulturkreis tour, which enables the winners of the Music Prize of German Economy to perform at renowned partner festivals - including the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele. The Kulturkreis's music sponsorship is supported by G. Henle Verlag, the Peter Klöckner Foundation and Dr. Arend Oetker.
