Charlotte Melkonian. Elisabeth Brauß
Early Maturity

With good reason, the Heidelberger Frühling likes to exercise restraint with very young talents. This is an exception: Charlotte Melkonian, born in 2013, joined the preliminary class of the Institute for Early Support of the Musically Gifted at the Hanover University of Music in 2022. She is supervised there by Martin Brauß, the director of the institute, through whose hands stars such as Joana Mallwitz, Igor Levit and Elisabeth Brauß once passed. Charlotte has been studying with Jens Peter Maintz at the Berlin University of the Arts since 2023. The cellist has already won numerous prizes and made her debut at Carnegie Hall in 2024. An artist as mature and confident as those who only appear on the scene every few decades!
