The young Georgian pianist Giorgi Gigashvili has selected piano music spanning three centuries for his recital. Two lively sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti are followed by Ludwig van Beethoven’s brilliant “Eroica Variations,” composed with virtuosity in mind. Brahms’s Four Piano Pieces are of a more intimate nature, along with Schumann’s musical declaration of love to Clara in the Sonata in F-sharp minor. “It is a single cry of the heart for you,” concludes the concert.
