Harb. Netirk. Prégardien. Ensemble Resonanz & Friends
Liedstadt as a Guest at the Heidelberger Frühling

Three outstanding artists sing old and new songs together. Poetic reflection and political commitment permeate each other, the traditional and the highly topical become one. The evening is organized by people from completely different backgrounds. In addition to solo performances of Hêja Netirk's "contemporary, experimental Kurdish music", Mais Harb's Druze music and Julian Prégardien's Schubert songs, the three singers will also meet on stage. There, they introduce each other to their favorite pieces, share vocal parts and take on melodies and entire song parts from Germany, Kurdistan, Syria, Iran and Austria in inspiring collaboration - the very special moments of the evening.

"Liedstadt" is a non-profit cultural start-up initiated by Julian Prégardien, Cate Pisaroni and Kian Jazdi. Hamburg was chosen as the home city of the "Liedstadt" festival. Liedstadt appears with pop-ups in other German-speaking cities. The aim is to make songs heard in the truest sense of the word, to revitalize and combine them in innovative ways.
