John Eliot Gardiner. The Constellation Choir & Orchestra
Easter with Bach

For decades, especially since his "Cantata Pilgrimage" and the complete edition of the cantatas published under his own label, Sir John Eliot Gardiner has been regarded as one of the absolutely outstanding Bach interpreters. His interpretations have become increasingly expressive, personal and urgent in recent times. Shortly before Christmas 2024, the Briton performed with his new choir and orchestra for the first time and immediately earned rave reviews. Shortly after the highest feast of Christianity, he now returns to Heidelberg 23 years after his last festival appearance with three particularly splendidly orchestrated Easter compositions by Bach.
