L'Arpeggiata. Christina Pluhar
Alla Napoletana

The fact that folk music, street hits and sacred art music flirted with each other despite, or precisely because of, their different stylistic heights was once not only felt in Naples, but also in many other European metropolises. The musical multi-talent Christina Pluhar, who not only plays the theorbo, lute and baroque harp, but also leads her own ensemble L'Arpeggiata, has created a colorful tableau with precious repertoire from four centuries under the motto "Alla Napoletana". L'Arpeggiata bring the racy temperament of southern Italy to Heidelberg and dedicate themselves to Naples' favorite musical disciplines - from the raging tarantella to popular songs and dances to opera.
