The Viennese duo Lena Kuchling and Bernhard Höchtel present new songs - fresh, multi-faceted and with a fine sense for the unexpected. Between pop, Schlager, Wienerlied and chanson, they create a sound space that combines humor and depth, lightness and melancholy. Their lyrics play with ambiguities, shed light on the absurdities of everyday life and provide insights into different realities of life. Sometimes smiling, sometimes touching - always narrative, always close.

The duo was selected by the partner festivals of the Art Song Challenge 2025 (LIEDBasel, Leeds Songs, Schubertíada Vilabertran, Liedstadt and Heidelberger Frühling) as one of five favorites from over 130 submissions.
