Opening Concert

"Back Forward" to the reopened Konzerthaus Stadthalle! Some of the most talented young soloists and chamber musicians, including numerous former Heidelberger Frühling sponsored artists, gather around the conducting pianist Fabian Müller to perform orchestral music in a truly chamber music spirit: lean and agile, expressive and full of risk-taking and always free of hierarchy. At the opening concert with Ludwig van Beethoven's two major orchestral works in E flat major, Igor Levit will act as primus inter pares. The "Eroica", whose revolutionary sounds demand a real creative statement, is also exciting.
The programme from the opening concert will be performed again the following day as part of the Open Concert Hall Discovery Tour.
