Liedakademie
Public Master Class 1 with Thomas Hampson

In the Public Master Classes, baritone Thomas Hampson works with the scholarship holders of the Heidelberger Frühling Liedakademie on musicality, technique and expressiveness in the Kunstlied. The audience has the unique opportunity to get to know the next Lied-generation of tomorrow and to look over the shoulder of Thomas Hampson, one of the greatest experts on the Kunstlied of our time, during his artistic work.

The Public Master Classes are part of the final work phase of the current scholarship holder year, which culminates in the grand Final Concert at the festival finale. Here, the impressive artistic and personal developments that the young singers and pianists have undergone over the course of the four modules of the one-year scholarship program become tangible.

The events of the Liedakademie at the Liedfestival can also be booked as a pass. Admission is free for students, trainees and school pupils (access by booking a free ticket).

This public master class will be streamed live on the website, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
