This musical time-out at lunchtime will feature Festivalcampus newcomer Matteo Cimatti, an exciting young musician on the violin. After winning several competitions, he recently won the final of the renowned "Young Classical Artists Trust" with solo performances of Bach and Bartók sonatas and will now be supported with concerts on international stages over the course of a year. In Heidelberg, together with Joe Pritchard, he will perform Zoltán Kodály's musically extremely rich duo for violin and cello – a journey of sound exploration through Hungarian traditions and creations between folk and art music.
Concert without intermission, duration approx. 45 minutes
