Mikhail Timoshenko. Elitsa Desseva
Winterreise

His "schauerliche Lieder" meant more to Franz Schubert than any other. The fact that the experience of transcendental homelessness becomes a theme in his "Winterreise", that the cycle is about someone who has become homeless: this is precisely what seems to invite us to identify with it today. The song duo from Russia and Bulgaria, who won two of the most important Schubert prizes, also saw the "Winterreise" as an artistic home from an early age. Timoshenko and Desseva are good acquaintances in Heidelberg. After having thrilled audiences several times with sophisticated concept programs, they now present their interpretation of the classic par excellence.
