Music Day for All

Big Music Day in the Karlstorbahnhof with a varied offer for young and old
On the second Sunday of the Musikfestival, 24 March from 11:00 to 18:00, the big Music Day will take place at Karlstorbahnhof. People of all ages are invited to embark on a musical journey of discovery and get to know sounds from all over the world.
For curious children and families as well as for older people there are numerous offers to listen and participate. In concerts and workshops with musicians from the award-winning transcultural Bridges-Kammerorchester from Frankfurt am Main, they will encounter folk songs arranged by the composer Johannes Brahms, to whom the 2024 festival season is dedicated, as well as songs and music from other cultural regions that have also found a home here.
Visitors can also enjoy short concerts featuring other festival artists and the scholarship recipients of the Liedakademie. Creative activities for adults and children round out the program.
A special highlight is the new production of the Tiny Bridges Ensemble "Liederlust und Zwischentöne", which will be performed twice: Here, the most diverse home sounds of this world merge with each other to create new stories full of emotion and energy.
