It was clear years ago that she had what it takes to be a star. In 2019, Nikola Hillebrand, then a member of the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, won the Wettbewerb "Das Lied"
of the Heidelberger Frühling; shortly afterwards she joined the ensemble of the Semperoper. She is now celebrated at the most important European opera houses, especially in Mozart roles, and is a regular guest with renowned orchestras, most recently with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Herbert Blomstedt. The seriousness with which Hillebrand continues to put her perfectly nuanced soprano and her creative imagination at the service of the Lied can be heard in this programme developed together with her sensitive piano partner Alexander Fleischer.
