Favorite Pieces - that's what this afternoon of music in the community center of St. Luke’s parish is all about. Five young musicians from the Festivalcampus-Ensemble will be bringing music that is particularly close to their hearts. For the young violinist Charlotte Spruit from Amsterdam, who is putting together the programme, these are above all works for solo violin by Johann Sebastian Bach. With this music, the award-winning young up-and-coming artist and 2024 competition winner toured the UK with solo concerts at major concert venues. Also on the programme are various precious pieces in small string ensemble: from John Dowland and Henry Purcell to Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodaly to a modern arrangement of traditional Bulgarian choral songs, made by ensemble member Joe Pritchard.
