Sarah Willis. The Sarahbanda

When a French horn flirts with hot salsa rhythms, it has plenty of Mozart melodies and even more hits from the Occident in its luggage, which are welcomed with a kiss from the Caribbean rhythms. Only the "Sarahbanda", a cheerful band founded by Sarah Willis, horn player with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, as part of her "Mozart y Mambo" project, is capable of such audible affairs. Together with her excellent Cuban musicians, who have learned both Cuban and classical music from the ground up, the horn player delights her audience with music full of passion and joie de vivre that immediately ignites the audience.

Sarah Willis can't help it: when she hears Cuban music, she has to dance. With her Sarahbanda, the horn player shows what happens when mambo meets Mozart. In the podcast, she talks about wild bus rides, her love of rhythm and reveals which vehicle she uses to get home in Berlin.
