Saturday Morning
Concert
Haydn. Janáček. Schonthal. Elgar

This morning sends quartets and audience through a wide variety of emotional states. Haydn's B flat major Quartet op. 33/4 presents itself in the best playing mood, Leoš Janáček writes intimate love letters and Ruth Schonthal's 1997 Quartet in Memory of the Holocaust tells of the thoughts and feelings of individual victims of the Shoah. Edward Elgar wrote his String Quartet in E minor in the aftermath of the First World War. It was to be one of his last great completed works.

Also bookable in the Streichquartettfest Pass or Streichquartettfest Pass Light.
