Change of Programme
Severin von Eckardstein

He is still considered something of an insider tip. Severin von Eckardstein is still less present in concert life than his excellent reputation in the scene would lead one to expect. The Düsseldorf-born pianist works meticulously on interpretative details. He is far more interested in the dramaturgy of his programmes, which draw on a wide-ranging repertoire, than in quick likes on social media. Eckardstein is truly passionate about exploring the piano works of the Russian late Romantic composer Nikolai Medtner, which even insiders are only partially familiar with, and from which he offers samples as often as possible.

+ 7 minutes
The "plus" in the concert: In a 7-minute discussion excursus together with the artists of the evening, characteristic, sometimes curious aspects of the programme are picked out or exciting phenomena in the context of the works are highlighted.
