Just a few years ago, the quartet world was clearly organized: There the famous US ensembles, here the groups from Europe with their strong national identities. The Simply Quartet, which is celebrated in the most important halls in the world, represents the globalization of the “conversation between four sensible people”. Founded in Shanghai in 2008, the four came together in their current trinational line-up at the university in Vienna in 2012. Mentors such as the former Alban Berg primarius Günter Pichler supported her. The Simply Quartet soon won just about every prize and scholarship there is to win in the genre. For their Heidelberg debut, the brilliant musicians travel from Paris to Vienna, Naples and Moscow.
