Inviting the next generation of artists to experiment and let them grow in creative safe spaces: this has always been one of the main concerns of the Heidelberger Frühling.

The 2024 Musikfestival gave the Festivalcampus-Ensemble, which was established in 2023, even more curatorial responsibility. What is the concert today – and what can it be? Supported by highly qualified coaches, 13 young musicians designed their own programs. The point of reference for the laboratory project was Johannes Brahms. The festival's creative venue Dezernat 16 became the hub, where the Festivalcampus-Ensemble could be seen at work in the Brahms.LAB and presented itself with several concert formats.

In addition, he once again visited the districts of Heidelberg for re:start concerts with free admission.
