What is the Streichquartettfest?

Every year in January, lovers of the special musical genre of the string quartet come together in Heidelberg. You can look forward to a carefully and lovingly selected program and a large density of concerts, lectures, workshops, readings and more.

The Heidelberger Frühling Streichquartettfest stands for intensive encounters between international quartets, selected artistic guests and an extraordinary audience of enthusiasts, connoisseurs and the curious. The personal exchange, for example at the get-together in the festival cafeteria between and after the concerts, creates the incomparable atmosphere of this short festival.

In 2025, the Heidelberger Frühling Streichquartettfest celebrates its 20th anniversary from January 23 to 26. The program will be published in autumn 2024.
