Fundraising campaign for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria

Every ticket helps!

By purchasing a ticket for the festival concert on March 29 with singer Ibrahim Keivo, who comes from northeastern Syria, and the NDR Bigband, you will be helping victims and those affected by the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria. The Heidelberger Frühling donates the tickets revenues to "Aktion Deutschland Hilft," which is working on the ground with alliance partners to provide emergency aid.

"Aktion Deutschland Hilft" is an alliance of German aid organizations such as the Malteser, Johanniter or Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, which help people affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises. The patron is former German President Horst Köhler and the chairwoman of the board of trustees is Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.

To the concert

In addition, you can help people in need by making direct donations to "Aktion Deutschland Hilft".

The Heidelberger Frühling and the RNZ, together with the Freundeskreis des Heidelberger Frühling e.V., are calling for donations. Festival director Thorsten Schmidt and co-artistic director Igor Levit say:

"We have chosen "Together" as the motto for the Heidelberger Frühling Musikfestival 2023. Then we should also stand together here in a very special way. Because even if the earth on the border between Turkey and Syria has largely calmed down again – for the huge number of people affected, the catastrophe has only just begun. The festival will host the voice of multicultural Syria, Ibrahim Keivo, on March 29. Not only in a heated concert hall and with a roof over our heads, but in a society characterized by peace and democracy. All this is not a self-evident, but a privilege. Let's help together!

We are very grateful for the joint action and the support of the Rhein Neckar Zeitung. A very special thank you goes to the Freundeskreis des Heidelberger Frühling who initiated the idea."
