A view across the Atlantic – and back
250 years after American independence, the 2026 edition of the festival will focus on American string quartet compositions that have significantly shaped the genre in recent decades - and back to Joseph Haydn, who founded the form around the same time 250 years ago.
Young ensembles and established quartets - including the Fibonacci Quartet, the Javus Quartet, the Kleio Quartet, the Quartet Integra and the Schumann Quartet - will perform.
