The versatility of concrete as a material is clearly demonstrated by the headquarters of Heidelberg Materials, the founding partner of the Heidelberger Frühling Musikfestival, which were completed in 2020. Above all, the white, prefabricated facade with its curved, open form shapes not only the building itself, but also its surroundings. The "Platinum" standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) was targeted for the building from the outset. The eye-catchers of the prestigious, light-flooded foyer, which features a lot of exposed concrete on the inside, are three spectacular "tree columns" made of fine concrete that stand 11 meters high in the room.
