Music Award of Heidelberger Frühling 2023: Award Ceremony for Martin Grubinger

The Music Award of Heidelberger Frühling 2023 will be awarded to the percussionist Martin Grubinger. The exceptional artist is thus being honored for his unparalleled services in introducing a young generation to music and his associated social commitment. The prize, which is unique in its form, is endowed with 10,000 euros and is sponsored by the Musikfestival's founding partner Heidelberg Materials. Since 2013, the award has honored individuals who have made a substantial and lasting commitment to the teaching of classical music. Vivi Vassileva, who is currently studying part-time with Martin Grubinger at the Mozarteum Salzburg, will provide the musical accompaniment to the award ceremony together with percussionists Alex Georgiev and Jürgen Leitner. And in the exchange between the two artistic directors Ilona Schmiel (Tonhalle Zurich) and Thorsten Schmidt, two cultural organizers meet who have supported the career start and development of the prize winner and have accompanied him intensively to this day.
