Jazzrausch Bigband
Brahms and Bruckner Breakdown

The Jazzrausch Bigband turns Johannes Brahms and Anton Bruckner into young, hip contemporaries at the Karlstorbahnhof. Expanded by horn, bassoon and strings, the techno big band from Munich, which was founded exactly ten years ago, enriches the orchestral sound clouds and the characteristic rhythm of the oddball Austrian with dubstep drops, hiphop elements and jazz improvisations in "Bruckner's Breakdown". "Brahms's Breakdown" draws its energy primarily from vocal pieces by the German late Romantic. Despite the song title "Wie Melodien zieht es mir leise durch den Sinn", this is the excessive, technoid part of the evening, which drives into the legs and brings ecstasy. Jazzrausch that is.

The concert hall is unseated.
