Singing increases well-being, connects people and is simply fun. Total singing is the order of the day at the opening of the Heidelberger Frühling Liedfestival, when voices from Heidelberg, the region and beyond are heard on the Song Stage on Marlene-Dietrich-Platz in front of the Karlstorbahnhof in Südstadt, when artists and bands from different genres come together to present a programme for all generations. Amateurs and professionals come together outdoors and invite the audience to join in and sing along.
If you are looking for a special shady spot, the doors of the Karlstorkino are open. The short film project "Lied Me!" will be shown, which was produced by the Heidelberger Frühling Liedzentrum in 2021 against the backdrop of the pandemic. Nine touching feature-length stories about the world of song have been created.
Culinary delights are provided by the Karlstorbahnhof restaurant and food trucks on the square. A wonderful summer afternoon full of songs - admission is free!
