The Schubert Week at Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, curated by baritone Thomas Hampson, is dedicated to the great Lied composer, whose œuvre comprises more than 600 songs. As in previous years, the Liedakademie of the Heidelberger Frühling Liedzentrum will be guests. After artistic director Thomas Hampson has worked on the technical and artistic challenges of Schubert's lieder in the two Public Workshops with the current class of scholarship holders, the young singers and pianists will present the results in the Closing Concert.
