The Schubert Week at Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, curated by baritone Thomas Hampson, is dedicated to the great Lied composer, whose œuvre comprises more than 600 songs. As in previous years, the Liedakademie of the Heidelberger Frühling Liedzentrum will be guests. In Public Workshop I, Artistic Director Thomas Hampson works with the current cohort of scholarship holders on the technical and artistic challenges that Schubert's songs pose to the young singers and pianists. They present the results in the Closing Concert.
