Josefa Schmidt

Pianist Josefa Schmidt creates a moment of pause in her SPRINGboard evening. Together with her sister, psychologist Vera Schmidt, the young artist explores the intersection of live music and mental health, perceptual psychology and emotion research. In the concert, she gives insights into her work and invites the audience to let their own imagination create inner images while listening to music by Maddalena Casulana, John Cage and Emilie Mayer.

The SPRINGboard series presents exceptional young artistic personalities who guide the audience through their specially conceived programs and share the issues that move them and their generation in concert.
