The Quatuor Ébène is one of the most complex and exciting quartets of our time. The four French musicians move freely, almost daring, through genres and styles, whether classical, jazz or pop. As part of »Chamber Music Plus« they are now presenting works by Haydn, Schumann and Janácek. The program, spanning three epochs, shows the many facets of the string quartet: from Joseph Haydn's tireless urge to bring "his supreme discipline" to perfection, to Robert Schumann's return to precisely those classical roots to Leoš Janácek's highly expressive response to Leo Tolstoy's » Kreutzer Sonata «, which seems to break the boundaries of absolute music.

Please inform yourself about the current Corona regulations and our hygiene regulations before attending the concert.
