Who do you think is behind Shawn & the Wolf, with whom Thomas Quasthoff, completely in his element as a singer and a presenter turned towards his audience, is making his way to the new Karlstorbahnhof for this performance? They are two versatile instrumentalists who love to surprise: Shawn Grocott plays just about every style of music that can be sounded on the trombone, whether improvised, composed, animated by the big band sound or inspired by classical music. Wolfgang Meyer on guitar brings with him his eventful artistic life, in which he played viola and trombone, conducted church music and performed with the guitar as an actor, jazz guitarist and in musicals. In the trio with the great Thomas Quasthoff they live out their love of jazz.
