The KlangForum Heidelberg is one of the most interesting specialist ensembles in the field of contemporary and early music. Not only because of the musical expertise, but also because of the clever and extraordinary programme concepts. Together with the musical director Walter Nußbaum, KlangForum Heidelberg with the SCHOLA Heidelberg and ensemble aisthesis sets vocal music by GyörgyLigeti in combination with early music for "Ligeti 100". In addition to the realization of the Ligeti works "Lux Aeterna" and the "Phantasies after Friedrich Hölderlin", compositions for Holy Week are planned from the responsories of Carlo Gesualdo.

The concert is part of the focus points "Ligeti 100″, "Trans- and Intercultural Programme" and "Visionaries".
