Long Quartet Evening
An extraordinary evening in the concert hall with drinks and culinary trifles: It invites you to linger idly, the Long Quartet Evening, but also to stroll through the music – to listen, observe, reflect, enjoy. The five ensembles of the Streichquartettfest present themselves with music of more recent times, which they have brought from their homelands. Be it that the works shape their artistic identity, be it that they have received important impulses from them. Two still very new compulsory pieces by contemporary composers can be heard, with which the respective formations have recently been successful at important competitions. One of them is by Sri Lankan-born Canadian composer Dinuk Wijeratne, who has taken on a particularly interesting theme.
