Mao Fujita
Brahms: classical – fantastic

Mao Fujita is an exceptionally fine, sensitive musician – the opposite of the youthful keyboard lion. Sony immediately entrusted the twenty-something with a complete recording of the Mozart piano sonatas. The Japanese composer, winner of several important competitions, has long been causing a sensation in the romantic repertoire as well. Schumann's highly virtuosic "Kreisleriana" is one of the showpieces in this field. Brahms' Piano Pieces op. 76 from the 1870s, on the other hand, are rather rarely heard. In the artfully crafted miniatures, poetry and constructive thinking find their ideal synthesis.
