Overture: Evening Concert
Eberle. La Marca. Viersen. Yalniz. Wang

Chamber music is always only as refined as those who perform it together. Saturday evening is an opportunity to hear the excellent musicians* of the weekend individually – in character pieces and intimate miniatures, whose poetic moods and virtuoso energies are concentrated in a very confined space. The repertoire ranges from the lyricism of the Schumann couple to the heated late Romanticism of the just 17-year-old Dmitri Shostakovich to the expressionism of Béla Bartók in his First Rhapsody, which is completely filled with Hungarian flavors.

The concert is part of the festival kick-off "Overture", which will take place between February 16 and 18 at Hotel Der Europäische Hof Heidelberg, the artist hotel of Heidelberger Frühling.
