Magdalena Hoffmann fotografiert von Julia Wesely

The versatile young artist Magdalena Hoffmann, principal harpist of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, dedicates her SPRINGboard evening to the Melting Pot London. A place full of life and languages, full of contrasts, smells and history(s). The program follows George Frideric Handel and Joseph Haydn to the metropolis, gives voice to the "orpheus britannicus" Henry Purcell, as well as his great admirer Benjamin Britten, and finds a contemporary expression with music by the London composer Paul Patterson. The music is interwoven with figurative and linguistic associations. There is no talk about Brexit and anyone who wants to can order tea with milk.

The SPRINGboard series presents exceptional young artistic personalities who guide the audience through their specially conceived programs and share the issues that move them and their generation in concert.
