Brahms.LAB III: HumanNature
Spielraum Dezernat

Man and nature. In their concert project, three young musicians from the Festivalcampus-Ensemble explore this tense relationship. A place of longing and threat at the same time, vulnerable systems, our body as a form from nature. Songs by Johannes Brahms form the starting point. Using their own sounds, the artists shed new light on some of his most beautiful nature settings. Supplemented by contemporary works (by John Cage and Rebecca Saunders, among others), the program describes a life cycle. Because what unites human life and nature is their becoming and passing away.

Everyone is invited to contribute thoughts and texts on the subject of Man & Nature, which will be creatively processed as part of Brahms.LAB III. Entries can be sent to Franziska Spohr (f.spohr@heidelberger-fruehling.de) until Sunday, February 11. Further information on the creative writing call by the participating artists can be found here.
