Brooklyn Rider fotografiert von Shervin Lainez

Climate activists on the concert stage! With "The Four Elements", the American quartet Brooklyn Rider sets one of the most important themes of our time: it combines a critical look at the climate crisis and the destruction of the earth by human hands and is at the same time an ode to the beauty of our planet. For this purpose, they juxtapose four works that have been created within the last hundred years with a commissioned composition by young composers that reflect the here and now and above all want to do one thing: shake things up.

The works by Andreia Pinto Correia, Akshaya Tucker, Dan Trueman and Conrad Tao were jointly commissioned by Heidelberger Frühling, Carnegie Hall, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Flagey Brussels and Liszt Academy Budapest.

Concert with two breaks
Duration approx. 2,5 hours

The concert will be followed by a talk with members of "Fridays for Future" about the synergies of art and activism for environmental protection.
