CHANGE OF LINE-UP: Chouchane & Astrig Siranossian
1000 years of Armenian music

CHANGE OF LINE-UP: Due to an illness Chouchane Siranossian (violin) cannot perform. Nevertheless, the concert will take place with Astrig Siranossian (violoncello), Narek Kazazyan (kanun), Levon Chatikyan (duduk) and Nathanaël Gouin (piano) with the planned programme concept.

The liturgical chants of Armenia are among the oldest written music in the world. They make up only a part of the immensely rich musical treasure from around 1000 years of Armenian cultural history that will be celebrated this evening.
Having already been a guest in Heidelberg in 2019, playing historically informed Mendelssohn, French-born Chouchane Siranossian now leaves classical terrain for this program, exploring her roots in ensemble with her sister Astrig and traditional Armenian instruments.

The concert is part of the program focus "Melting Pots" and of the International Weeks Against Racism by Interkulturelles Zentrum Heidelberg.
