Emmanuelle Bertrand

Emmanuelle Bertrand was named Instrumentalist of the Year 2022 in France (Victoires de la Musique Classique) along with Sol Gabetta, and has lived her partnership with pianist Pascal Amoyel on stage and in life for over 20 years. They dedicate their program to the visionaries Franz Liszt, Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms. They worked intensively with Brahms sonatas and love songs for violoncello and piano for their latest recording on harmonia mundi. And in the Arpeggione Sonata they feel the sound of this lost instrument of Schubert's time.
