Songs to texts from "Des Knaben Wunderhorn" by Achim von Arnim and Clemens Brentano set to music by Johannes Brahms and others and selected folk songs

The festival finale is a promise for the future. In the final concert of the current Liedakademie year, the young elite of Lied singers and pianists will present the results of their in-depth work over four course units with Thomas Hampson and Susan Manoff. She will also contribute to the Brahms focus of Heidelberger Frühling 2024: all participants will perform a Brahms setting from "Des Knaben Wunderhorn" as well as another Brahms song. What else will be on the programme is not yet revealed here ...

Concert with intermission

In addition to the final concert, the audience can participate in public master classes, a lecture and a listening session with Artistic Director Thomas Hampson in the final work phase of the current scholarship holder year of the Heidelberger Frühling Liedakademie.

The public master class will be broadcast via livestream on the website, Facebook and YouTube.
